I don't have a car and I sleep on a bench
but I've come too far to get rid of the stench
not of my scent not of the odor
but the smell of dumb-will and the thought of being sober
she wants fancy things and someone to dance with
but I need more than that tonight so go on and make me a sandwich
butter it with hedonism toast it in silence
awesome-sauce on the half with sex drugs and violence

She's always changing the channel when I am trying to channel a demon to keep her from changing the channel
so it's off with my head and it's back to our bed
I tried to major her minor but got white noise instead

and I'm giving in to her primitive needs
I gave her everything I have except for my seed
it's written all over her face but ya know that I can't read
the 'I'm so done with this' body language that she speaks

unless your accounting for our dialogue between the sheets;
she said "you're doing it wrong give me that 'tongue n' cheek'
but i've already finished and i'm already tired
and she glazes back at me looking utterly uninspired

so it's back to the streets with the street to my back
eyes to the sky with a bottle of jack
calls me a 'user...calls me a 'user'
if there's one thing sure she won't be calling me it's calling me back

got rid of that ball and chain got rid of that tumor
but still managed to keep my sense of humor

I'll miss the way she stares at me and marvels
I've lost everything I have but i still have my marbles

and I may be a homeless romantic
I may not make women panic when i sing
but if you listen nothings missing although I appear cold and distant
I've denounced a wedding ring to announce a new reason to sing
